APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Read before applying

The Headlight Serum is designed to restore clarity to faded, yellowed and cloudy headlight lenses with a simple hand-applied coating.

For the best finish, follow the steps below carefully. Preparation, a clean application and proper curing are the most important parts.

Before You Start

Apply The Headlight Serum in a dry, sheltered area, ideally out of direct sunlight.

Before applying:

  • Make sure the headlights are cool to the touch
  • Avoid applying if rain or moisture is expected
  • Make sure you can keep the headlights completely dry during the curing period
  • Have your supplied applicator ready

Important: Once the serum has been applied, avoid touching or wiping the headlight while it cures.

STEP 1 — PREP

Proper preparation helps the serum bond evenly to the headlight.

Before application, thoroughly clean the headlight lens and remove:

  • Dirt
  • Road grime
  • Grease
  • Oils
  • Wax or other residues

Pay particular attention to contaminated or heavily weathered areas.

The serum should only be applied once the lens is completely clean and dry.

STEP 2 — CLEAN & DRY

After cleaning, inspect the headlight carefully.

The surface should be:

  • Completely clean
  • Completely dry
  • Cool to the touch
  • Free from remaining cleaning products or residue

Do not apply the serum to a wet or damp headlight.

Any trapped moisture or contamination can interfere with the coating and affect the final finish.

STEP 3 — APPLY

Using the supplied applicator, apply The Headlight Serum directly to the headlight lens.

  • Apply an even coat across the entire lens
  • Use smooth, overlapping passes
  • Make sure you cover the edges and corners
  • Avoid repeatedly rubbing or working over areas that have already begun to cure

The goal is a consistent, even coating across the entire headlight.

Once you're satisfied with the coverage, leave it alone and allow it to cure.

Do not wipe the coating off.

STEP 4 — LET IT CURE

This step is critical.

After applying The Headlight Serum:

Wait at least 6 hours before driving the vehicle.

During this initial curing period:

  • Do not drive
  • Do not touch the headlights
  • Do not wipe or polish the coating
  • Keep the vehicle sheltered and the headlights completely dry

The coating will continue curing after this initial period.

NO WATER EXPOSURE FOR UP TO 48 HOURS

For the best result, keep the headlights away from:

  • Rain
  • Car washing
  • Pressure washing
  • Sprinklers
  • Heavy condensation
  • Any other direct water exposure

for up to 48 hours after application.

Premature water exposure may interfere with the curing process and affect the finish.

Once properly cured, your headlights are ready to go.

COMMON MISTAKES

And how to avoid them

Applying to a Dirty Headlight

What happens:
Contamination can prevent the serum from bonding evenly.

How to avoid it:
Thoroughly clean the entire lens before application and make sure no oils, grime or cleaning residue remain.

Applying to a Wet or Damp Surface

What happens:
Moisture can interfere with the coating and may affect clarity or adhesion.

How to avoid it:
Allow the headlight to dry completely before applying the serum.

Applying in Direct Sunlight or to a Hot Headlight

What happens:
The serum may begin curing too quickly, making an even application more difficult.

How to avoid it:

  • Apply in the shade or under cover
  • Make sure the headlight is cool to the touch

Overworking the Serum

What happens:
Going back over areas that have started curing can disturb the finish.

How to avoid it:
Apply a smooth, even coat and then leave the coating untouched.

Driving Too Soon

Allow the coating at least 6 hours of initial curing time before driving.

Moving the vehicle too early can expose the headlights to dust, debris, moisture and other contaminants while the coating is still curing.

Water Exposure During Curing

Rain, washing or other water exposure before the coating has properly cured may compromise the finish.

Keep the headlights protected from water for up to 48 hours after application.

If possible, plan your application around the weather and keep the vehicle garaged or under cover.

IMPORTANT PRODUCT LIMITATIONS

The Headlight Serum is designed to improve the appearance and clarity of oxidised, faded, yellowed or cloudy headlight lenses.

Results will depend on the existing condition of the headlight.

It cannot repair physical damage such as:

  • Cracked lenses
  • Deep scratches or gouges
  • Damage or deterioration occurring inside the headlight assembly
  • Severe structural damage to the lens

If the cloudiness is primarily on the inside of the headlight assembly, an exterior coating cannot correct the underlying problem.
